Direct booking

The public form lets guests select dates and guests, see the price calculated by the site and continue to online payment when the dates are free.

After payment, the system saves the request, marks the payment as received and creates an internal calendar block. The host still sends practical check-in instructions.

Prices and conditions

The price shown by the website is calculated by the internal pricing engine based on the rules available when the request is made.

Tourist tax, check-in, cancellations, refunds, deposits and other operating conditions must be confirmed directly by the host.

Stripe payment

Online payment is handled through Stripe Checkout. Domus Juliae does not handle or store card data.

If the site detects a clear availability issue, payment is blocked; corrections, cancellations or refunds remain handled directly with the host.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations or refunds are not automatic from the website and must be handled directly with the host, according to the agreed conditions and payment constraints.

Availability and external channels

The site uses internal blocks and imported iCal calendars as a practical aid to avoid clear conflicts. It is not a channel manager and does not use scraping or Airbnb/Booking APIs.

After payment, the site makes its own iCal feed available for other portals, but the host must check that Airbnb/Booking are updated and correctly connected.

User responsibility

The user must provide truthful and complete information. The host may reject incomplete, inconsistent or unmanageable requests.
