Three bedrooms for a family of four

The apartment has one double bedroom and two single bedrooms. Each room has its own bed, a wardrobe with hangers and a chair, and the double bedroom also has a desk. Everyone has a private space to sleep and unpack, with no sofa bed in the living room.

It works well for:

  • parents with two children, each child in their own room;
  • parents travelling with one child and a grandparent;
  • three or four friends or colleagues who prefer separate rooms.

It is not suitable for two couples, as there is only one double bed.

Kitchen, living room and everything a family needs

The living room has a kitchen area where you can make breakfast and eat in after a long day out: there is a gas hob, an oven, a fridge-freezer, a kettle, a moka pot and a Nespresso machine, plus pots, pans and tableware.

  • Fast Wi-Fi (181 Mbps) and a workspace
  • Air conditioning and central heating
  • TV in the living room
  • Bathroom with shower, bidet and hairdryer
  • Lift, reached after five steps in the building's courtyard

Two things to know before you book: there is one bathroom, so plan the morning routine in turns, and there is no washing machine; there are self-service laundries nearby.

Villa Borghese six minutes away: Rome with children

The Porta Pinciana entrance to Villa Borghese is about a 6-minute walk from the apartment. It is the easiest park in central Rome for letting children run around between visits: inside you'll find the Bioparco zoo, about 20 minutes on foot from the apartment, and the lake with rowing boats.

The Galleria Borghese is about 15 minutes away on foot and can only be visited with a reservation, so book tickets through the official channels before you travel, especially for weekends.

The historic centre is within reach of little legs too: the Spanish Steps are about 12 minutes on foot and the Trevi Fountain about 15. For longer trips, Metro A runs from Barberini, about 8 minutes from the apartment.

Arrival and welcome

Giorgio welcomes guests in person, hands over the keys, shows you around and shares tips about the neighbourhood. Arrival time is agreed after booking.

The building has an inner courtyard and a lift, reached after five steps: worth knowing in advance if you have a pushchair and suitcases. If you arrive early or leave late, ask Giorgio whether you can leave your luggage.

Flying or arriving by train? The Getting to Via Veneto page covers Fiumicino, Ciampino and Termini. For a family with luggage, a fixed-fare taxi is often the easiest option.
